Quite a Surprise

Without another word, the elder leprechaun disappears behind a chest of drawers, and you wander away perplexed. How shall you spend your one enchanted evening? Lost in thought, you return to the inn, where your girlfriend awaits you. Miraculously, due to your uncanny sense of professional focus and responsibility, she until now has not been acknowledged in the story.

You return to your room just before moonrise, and you wave to Heather excitedly. "Sweetheart," you exclaim, "I have quite a surprise for you!" As Heather looks up from her magazine, you loosen your belt buckle and collar. Within seconds, your nose twitches and assumes a new shape. To your dismay, Heather begins to cry.
