Adaptibility is a Mamalian Thing

You are not used to the new body. You now have six limbs including your wings, and it takes what seems to be forever to control the right protrusion. When you try to scratch your head, you break down a wall with your massive tail. Your new mentor teaches you all he knows, though you feel that you are learning at a snails pace. You still crash every time you take flight, though you recently isolated such events to happen only during landings. You can now control your protrusions with ease. You are still impatient, however, and demand daily lessons. For some reason, this shocks Vakoligan, who wonders constantly how you are able to stay sharp with so little sleep, yet you get as much sleep as you did when you were human. You learn everything you need to survive in the longest 2 months of your life. Things include: milk is a drug for dragons, but you cannot help but to slurp it up, behavior will affect your appearance (such as scale colour and even some more odd physical changes), and that the biological "spark plug" that allows you to breath flame will not develop for a while (and that is in dragon time), although your breath is flammable from an outside source and you may develop some other sort of unique breath, depending on your attitude (one of the physical changes).

"Wow. That took forever!" You exclaim, and it seemed as if you were accurate, although you know it was only 2 months.

"You cannot be serious! I have not seen such quick development since Vayne!"

"What do you mean quick? And who is Vayne?"

"You are not the first pupil I have had. Many others wished for seperate forms, and very few progressed quickly. You are the third to learn before the average 20 year mark." You stare for a moment, then look proud. He continues, "Vayne was a cockroach, who proved most helpful once. But that is for another time. He also wished for the same thing you did. I taught him, and he progressed marvelously. He learned as much as you did in a short week. But he was not used to power. He, and another being, Nharo, once a squid and now a griffin, wished to raise their own speices to replace the human race. You know that that just is not right. I tried to stop them, but I was not strong enough for them both. Then I was helped by my second fastest learner. Gien was once a rat and also marvelled at the form I took. He helped to trap the other two in a box, similar to the one you released me from. To keep them there, he sealed himself in as well. The box is in this very castle, deep in the catacombs. They still insult each other, but they ran out of insults and refer to each other as 'po-heads 1-3'. I hope that does not happen again." He gives you a warning glance.

Well, whad'ya know? An ancient evil in this very castle! And it's an ancient cockroach... yum...
