All too easy...

You smile at Jessie, and softly kiss her furry muzzle back. After several moments into the kiss, you feel something against your neck. A cold wind stirs through your soul, chilling your body. Though in caves and run-down castles such drafts are common, something strange... mystic... dark even, is behind the wind. You break your moment with Jessie and look around, scanning for any movement among the shadows. A light flickers at you from a corner, and your hair stands on end. As your vision focus’ you realize that the glimmer is nothing more then your sword. You laugh to yourself and walk slowly over to it. Placing your hand down upon its grip, you feel a sudden danger within the room, and quickly turn. Jessie looks over at you “Where’d the sword come from anyways?” she asks curiously. You continue looking around, holding the sword steady. “Company policy” you say and then shrug, not really knowing where it came from either. It doesn’t matter now you had used it to destroy the witch, or had you? It seems a little too easy; after all, you never did see a body... “We haven’t seen the last of her” you mumble to yourself, placing your sword back into its place on your belt. The feeling of danger fades, and you look back at Jesse with a smile. She smiles back, but just as the smile had come, it left, and a look of extreme terror fills her face. You freeze as you hear breathing behind you... Your heart races... Turning, you find yourself staring into the eyes of...
