"Tell me about this Melvin character you speak of," you say, quite intrigued. "What's his story?"
"He was the first of us all. Not to mention the most stubborn," Peter adds with a little dismay. "He tried to defy them, and paid dearly for it. The more he refused his feedings, the more they gave him. But he never gave up," he sighs. "Probably thought he was being heroic, that fool."
"So how bad is it?" you question.
"Bad enough," replies Peter. "The stuff they give us is terrible. All it does is give us this extra weight. I was actually quite trim when I first got here. Now look at me."
Upon a closer inspection, you can see the pure flab hanging off of every corner of his body. You groan in dismay as you imagine what could happen to you.
"How was he retaliating?", you ask, still curious about the mysterious dragon.
"Cussing at them, complaining to them, threatening to kill them, and refusing his feedings. So they overfed him. A normal serving is volume enough to content you. But they overfilled him. They bloated him until they were positive he would regurgitate if they gave him one milliliter more. So they've reduced him-- if you could say reduced-- to a gigantic, quivering mass of immobile flesh. Quite sad, but he was a fool to begin with, hence my finding humor in this."
You lie back and groan, wondering how you got yourself into this.
"Will I be meeting this Melvin character? Where is he?", you ponder out loud.
"He's in his own little room/corner thingy. You may see him later when they let us out for meals," is the reply.
"I see.." is your response. But there's still one thing bothering you.
"Who is 'they'?"
