As time passed the weather got a bit cooler as a wind began to blow across the summer sky. “Man it’s getting colder,” Catherine said as she got a little bit closer to Diggs. “Yeah a bit” Diggs said as Catherine got closer to Diggs to get warm. “You must be really cold.” Diggs said “What do you mean?” Catherine asked? “Well, I'm not trying to be rude or anything, but you keep getting close to me. So that's why I'm saying you must be really cold” Diggs told her "Well what if I said I'm getting close to you on purpose.” Catherine asked? “R-Really” Diggs wondered? “Yeah, I like being close to you. You… make me feel safe, Diggs” Catherine told him. “Well, if you told me sooner then I would've let you get as close to me as possible” Diggs said! Catherine giggled and said, “You like to be the big strong dog don’t you.” “I have my moments,” Diggs said, Catherine giggled. “But seriously I feel a little chilly,” Catherine told him. “Just warm up with old Diggsy here,” Diggs said putting his arm over her. Catherine just purred and snuggled against his side. “Thanks Diggs” Catherine said smiling at him. Diggs looked at her and got lost in her sparkling green eyes. Afterwards they went back inside and got to bed, Catherine slept next to Diggs. Diggs though to himself, “Just looking at her, her beautiful eyes. Oh my dog what is wrong with me, could I be in love with her? I just feel so weird inside; I just can’t stop feeling so wonderful. As much as I hate to admit it, I think I'm in love with Catherine. What would she say if she found out that I like her or if I told her I love her! Does Catherine feel the same way about me? I just need to find out; I'm having so much trouble trying to keep myself from kissing her. I knew I liked her, but I didn’t think I’d fall for her. She's just so perfect; I would do anything to win her heart, to make her my own. My heart beats like a drum just thinking about her. I suppose this is what love feels like; I really wish that Catherine was my girlfriend. What will I do to show Catherine that I truly love her? I suppose I have to take it slow for now; I can't just come out and say it to her out loud. The more I look at her, the faster my heart beats. We would be so happy together; I could take her out on the best dates, I'd be her dream boyfriend. Then it’s settled! I will win her heart, and we'll become a couple.”
