Game 3 | Game 3 Outline |
The Alpha lowers his cards slightly, his gaze falling on you as he falls into a calm, semi casual tone, "We've been aware of you're running around the castle for some time," he says, as if it comes as no surprise. "We picked up on your sent shortly after you turned, and have been watching to see what we should do with you." He casually discards a card and picks up one on the top of the deck. "There have been some disagreements on how to handle this situation, but we seem to have come up with a suitable solution. We understand that you are a reporter?" He asks, and eyes turn on you waiting for your response.
"Um, yes..." you say, a bit intimidated. You'd consider running, but that would mean breaking the death grip that the seat has on your rump, and with a pack of fitter, faster death machines all but surrounding you, you'd probably not get even one cheek free before they tore you to shreds. "Obviously this is of concern to us, but from what we've seen, you have no intention of revealing yourself, at least for now. And you've been resourceful despite... obvious hindrances." A low chuckle goes around the room, and you get the feeling he just make a crack at your weight. "Quite frankly, we believe it may be to our best interest to have someone with ties to the outside world, and your talent for digging up information is of value. We don't normally accept outsiders, your turning was not exactly normal, however, we are willing to overlook this if you prove useful."
"Are you saying you want me to join you?" You ask, a little surprised at such an offer, "Don't you serve Blathory?" A bout of laughter fills the room as the other werewolves guffaw at your comment. "Your still very green to the world of the supernatural, Blathory is a resource, she may have owned the castle at one time, but now she has no power without depending on the living. We have our arrangements, but we run the show."
"So what happens if I refuse?" you ask, a little nervious about the answer. The alpha looks at you sternly, "It would not be wise to choose that path," he says, "The pack is a family business, we look out for our own, protect one another. Currently you have done nothing that has endangered us, but honestly, if you can't call us friends, then you're a liability. Eventually we will have to deal with you one way or the other, and our methods for doing that are much kinder if as a brother then a lone wolf intruding on our territory." The looks you get give you a good idea of what exactly will end up happening, the word 'hunt' comes to mind.
"Of course, it's not like you will not benefit from this, the pack looks out for one another, which would include you, and we have methods of dealing with your... little problem." Another round of chuckles. You think about it, is there really much choice? Or is there another your just not seeing yet? Of course you could just say no, they haven't directly said they would hurt you, at least as long as you don't reveal them or endanger them, you may be able to get along without any other issues. Then of course they could help you out...
