Yeah, that's probably the most realistic answer..

"I want to live in the town," you reply, relishing the thought of being a respected journalist by day, but a monstrous werewolf by night. The vampiress nods - she obviously expected you to pick that. She hands you a small envelope with 'TOP SECRET - FOR THE BEARER ONLY', embossed with a tiny design of a pretty yet severe-looking lady.

"What's this?" you ask, looking at the little envelope with both curiosity and surprise.

"It's the deed to that town. If you're bearing it, you can legally kill anyone there without other monsters hunting you down." The vampiress smiles and clicks a button on a panel behind her. The town area on the map immediately goes black, with a tiny symbol of a wolf's face in the middle, and your name writ underneath. You shake hands with the vampiress, your hairy claws biting into her pale flesh, her perfectly lacquered fingernails rending your rough fur.

A week later, you're the newest journalist for 'The Weekly Spade', the local magazine. You have your own house already - you killed several local shopkeepers and one merchant and stole most of their money, making you pretty damn rich in the process. By day you cover the kind of crap small-town papers document - mostly crappy local accidents or debates. But recently you've been assigned to take pictures of a vicious wolf that, at night, runs around the city and kills at will - in short, your next project is YOU.
