Game 3 | Game 3 Outline |
You hit the "alter" button out of curiosity, and just to see what the machine will do. The electronic display changes to "ENTER DESIRED WEIGHT", and the keypad lights up - obviously you're supposed to enter a number. After a bit of thinking, you tap in 100 - just to test it - and hit enter. Immediately the machine begins clanking and whirring, and a bright beam of light shoots from the display. You yelp in shock and stumble backwards, loosing your footing and toppling down the stairs with a heavy thud. It takes a few seconds for you to recover, but eventually you sit up, blinking the spots from your eyes as you heave yourself to your feet.
As you make your way back up the stairs, you can't help but notice something's off - your clothes feel a little tighter than normal, and your centre of gravity feels like it's shifted. Hefting up your ailing pants, you look yourself over, realising you're a little pudgier than normal - your flat stomach has rounded into an almost unnoticeable gut, and there's a thin layer of fat all over you. You've put on weight! You rush up the steps (a little slower than usual), then punch the "Weigh" button on the console. "ALTERATION COMPLETE" disappears, replaced by your weight: 100kg.
So the console made you fatter... it should be able to make you smaller, too. You hit "Alter" again, and are about to type 60 into the pad when you stop. You don't actually mind the extra weight - it feels almost natural, plus it could be considered an improvement to your feeble frame. And what's to stop you from getting even bigger? The machine obviously has the capabilities, and there are a few more buttons that you didn't notice before - you could do pretty much anything! You can change back at any time; surely a little experimentation can't hurt.
What to do, what to do...
