Game 3 | Game 3 Outline |
You trundle your way back through the falling snow towards the dragon's waiting cave, disappointed that you are returning empty-handed but convinced that it won't much matter in the short term. Besides, you think, Jessie could use the company right now; you think with a rush of excitement that maybe you and she will get a little more time to cuddle...
Your hopes are dashed as you get back to the cave entrance, stumbling in out of the now very deep snowfall to hear voices coming from further inside, first Jessie, then the dragoness. Still, you're a little relieved that you weren't the first one to quit the hunt. Taking your time and tired from walking, you slowly pad your way through the mouth of the cave, when the voices inside start to sound more and more alarmed.
You hurry your pace, now close enough to make out the conversation. The first you make out, in Jessie's sweet voice, is, "Now Kana," - you figure that must be your host's name - "please don't panic about this. It's a snowstorm, I bet all the game has simply holed up to get away from it-"
"You don't understand!" Kana yells, as you see a bright flash on the cave wall from around the corner. She's breathing fire, you realize with a start. You quicken your pace as you hear her continue: "There's nothing out there! Not a single deer or boar or anything! This never happens!"
"Well," states Jessie, fighting the fear in her voice, "there's a first time for everything, right? We can wait, I'm certainly fat enough to miss a few meals at the moment-"
"Yes," replies the dragon in a worrying low tone, "You are... awfully... fat, aren't you?"
"Miss dragon? K... Kana? You aren't-"
"I think I am," replies the dragon as you round the corner into the main chamber. The hefty dragoness has her back turned to you, apparently unaware of your presence, and is advancing menacingly on Jessie. Jessie herself is losing her wits as she is trying to get to her feet, which alone will take longer than it will for the dragoness to be upon her. What on earth do you do?
