Whimper for forgiveness

You whimper as Maria walks towards you, trying to say you are sorry for being naughty. Maria looks at you and says "How can I stay mad at you?" Her face changes back to how it was when she first saw you. She kneels down in front of you and says "I'm not mad at you Spot, it's just that it's your bedtime." You continue to whimper as she picks you up, still kneeling. She says "What is it you want?" Before you have a chance to answer she stands up again, holding you. But this time it's different, she's holding you differently from the other times, you can escape if you wanted to. She begins to walk towards the laundry room.
