I wish to be a wolf

You look at her and say "I wish to be a wolf." She looks back at you and nods, and you see a sudden and bright flash. Suddenly you're in the middle of an empty grassy field. You are still human, although you feel something different. You suddenly feel sharp pain in your back and you start to bend forward. You are about to fall on all fours when you desperately try to continue standing up, you struggle to keep yourself in a hunch. You soon realize you can't move your toes, you look down at your feet to see your toes are now bent as far as they can, you can't move them. Your feet suddenly feel extremely numb, you feel sharp pain in them before you look down to see they are changing shape. Your toenails start changing shape and soon resemble claws, you feel your feet uncomfortably start getting smaller, you struggle to kick off your shoes to see your entire feet now look like paws. You start to feel yourself losing balance, but you don't fall on all fours yet. You start to feel numb in your hands, and you look at them to see them both start making a fist. You start feeling even more extreme pain in the front of your face, as if your nose is trying to jump off your head. You feel your nose with your deformed hands you feel that it is now much bigger, you feel your mouth and realize your nose is so big that your mouth is basically on it! You start to feel your eyes sting as you see, at the bottom of your vision, that your now giant nose is starting to block some of your vision. Your nose is still growing as well, and you don't think it'll stop soon.

You look back at your hands to see they are now deformed like your feet. You start to lose your balance even more, struggling to continue standing up, you look down at your legs to see they are now thinner, and all the hair on both of them is gone. They keep growing thinner, and you start to feel the same start happening to your arms. You start to lose your balance even more, you keep trying to stand up, but every second you feel heavier and weak in your legs. You eventually start feeling pain in your spine and tailbone, the pain leads you to give up on standing up and give in to standing on four legs. Now that you are on four legs, you realize that your used-to-be arms now resemble your new legs. Your four legs are all about 2 inches in diameter, since you are used to human legs, your new legs feel weak, like they could snap any minute. You try to look down and you realize that your nose is now blocking almost half of your vision! You move your head around, trying to see more than the tip of your giant nose that now has a black bit at the end of it. You eventually see that your legs are starting to grow hair again, but now it's a different color. It's now colored gray and is all over your legs, and it still sprouting all over them. You keep feeling pain in your tailbone, and you already know what is about to happen with it. You feel your tailbone pushing against your skin somewhere on your back. You try to look behind yourself to see it, but since you are on four legs, you are unable to see your tail. You look down at your legs again and see the fur is starting to grow up your (used to be) arms, and it now completely covered your back legs and feet.

You begin to feel pain in your chest, you try to take off your shirt to see what it is but you can't get your shirt off with your bony legs. It doesn't take long for you to realize what it is anyway, you are gaining weight in your torso. You look inbetween your legs to see your chest start getting closer to the ground, and you feel the same happening on your back, even though you can't see it. You feel your torso start to become a perfectly circular shape. You feel your tail still growing, you still can't see it. Your shirt and pants finally split on your back, and it soon falls off to show your torso. You can't see much of it because of your nose, but from what you can see, it is also covered in fur, and has no more resemblence to a human. You begin to feel your neck getting shorter as the fur continues to spread up your body. Soon your neck is completely gone and you start to feel pain when you move your head. Before you could move your head around enough to see inbetween your legs and a little bit on your back, but now you can only move it slightly up and down. You can't move your head to see any part of your body anymore, except for your front feet and your snout that still looks like it's growing. You begin to feel the fur reach up to where your neck used to be, and start to spread up your head. You begin to feel pain and numbness in your ears. You start to feel them moving up your head and change shape. You aren't able to move them at all anymore, and obviously you can't block them anymore, since you can hardly even more your legs. You feel them stop moving at the top of your head.

It's never over. You start to feel stinging in your eyes. Unbearable stinging, stinging so sharp that you hardly feel any of the other pain from the transformation. You close your eyes as hard as your new body allows you to, but your eyes keep hurting. You keep closing your eyes for what feels like hours, but you know it's only a few seconds. With closing your eyes not stopping the pain. You open your eyes again to see the fur is now on some of your nose. On the back of your head you feel your human hair is now gone, some replaced with fur, some are still bare. Your eyes are still hurting, but all of a sudden, you blink involuntarily, and when you open your eyes again stuff is different. You can see forward, but you have a strange sensation to look straight down. When you look down, you see your feet are now glowing red. You are confused by the redness, it doesn't take long for you to realize it's not a change in your feet, it's a change in your eyes. Your eyes are seeing the body heat in your feet, and now that you realize this, your nose is glowing red. You look up to see that everything else now looks incredibly dull. Everything else is still in complete color, and you can see just as far, it's a little blurry though. But when you see nothing else is glowing red, you get the sensation to look down again. It's like your eyes can only focus on things with heat, in this case the only thing with heat is the body heat in your feet.

The fur is still growing up your head, your nose is now completely covered in fur, except your nose is covered in white, while the rest of your body is gray. You feel the fur finally stop on the top of your head, and you know the transformation is complete. You hear someone say "Ok good it's finally done." You assume that it's Lvaria, the girl who you made this wish with. She steps slowly into your vision, her body is glowing red just like yours, she says "Do you like it?" You think for a while, and then just say "It's weird." But all that you actually say is a small growl. She looks at you and says "Oh right, you won't be able to talk." She keeps looking you over and finally says "Are you sure you want to only ever get food from hunting prey? Isn't that gonna be strange for you?" That statement makes you think. The transformation changed your entire body, but you still have a human mind. You don't know how to hunt prey! Human minds don't know how to hunt for food as a wolf, or how to do anything as a wolf for that matter. How were you going to do this? You look up at Lvaria and try your best to say "WHAT'S THE POINT OF TURNING ME INTO A WOLF IF I STILL HAVE A HUMAN MIND!?" You feel frustrated when all that comes out of your mouth is a loud bark. Lvaria completely ignores what you say and just looks at your tail and says "There's one more thing you may want." She snaps her red glowing fingers and suddenly a mirror appears in front of you. You try to walk closer to the mirror, it takes a while since you aren't used to having to use four legs. When you finally get close enough to the mirror you realize the true horror of what happened. You are glowing red in the mirror, but you can still recognize the 'horror.' You are a Husky, not a wolf. You are a pet dog, not a wolf. This was all a trick. And now you have to live the rest of your life as a Husky, not what you wished for. You look in the mirror at yourself, the worst part of it is, you're a cute dog.
