You look at a chicken in the barn. Suddenly you feel tingly. Even more than during the dream and when you first became a cow. This is the strangest thing ever. You feel everything in your body changing, getting smaller. Except you still feel fat. You could go on forever about the defects of being a chicken, but you need to do something quick. You see the farmer walking out of the barn. You still can't see his eyes! And then the next thing he does frightens you more than anything you could imagine: The door closes behind him, you're trapped in the barn, as a chicken.
You try to yell for him, but you still can't speak. You make the loudest noise your tiny vocal chords can handle, which is just a weak "Buck-Kaw!" Your attempt at signalling the farmer is completely drowned out by the clucks of the other chickens. You look frantically for a way out. The barn is completely packed with chickens. Each chicken is in it's own individual cage. The cages are along the walls, beside and above each other.
You finally see a way out. All the way on the top, there's a window. Your cage is on the bottom, so you'll need to get to the top. Most of the chickens are asleep.
There's 5 rows of cages, and 9 columns of cages, on each side. You need to switch with the chicken all the way at the top, right above you. You look up, you can't see the chicken at the top from where you are, you'll need to switch between chickens to find a way up.
You have a choice. You could switch between the chicken directly above you, over and over, until you reach the top. Or you could switch with a higher chicken on the other side, and just hope you can see the chicken at the top. What do you do?
