You give up on attracting his attention and just make eye contact with the chicken up in the window of the barn. Everything feels different when you first enter the chicken's body, but as weird as it feels, you don't have the time for it. You put up with the changes and just look for a way to become the farmer. You still can't get eye contact with the farmer, you need to look at something else before you can switch with the farmer.

You see another cow is awake. She's in pen 6, the farmer is in pen 8. Perhaps you could switch with her and then look at the farmer.

But that's not all. From what you've seen on this farm before, the animals turn around a lot. You'll just have to sacrifice some time and then one will turn around, one closer to the farmer.
