Not Bored by the Board

You and Bryan confer. In a moment, you agree to accompany Takeshi. After all, it's the only way for Bryan to be sure Takeshi does get cured. And who knows what would happen to you? Four arms might not be a bad thing, but it might not stop there.

Anyway, you lead Takeshi in the direction he tells you to go. Bryan follows at a discreet distance. Soon the three of you arrive at the headquarters of XYZ Corp.

Everything about corporate headquarters is state of the art and luxurious in a way that spells S-U-C-C-E-S-S. Takeshi leads you and Bryan through a series of automated entry passages. He greets a series of receptionists seated behind high desks. Then he leads you to his private elevator, Bryan careful remaining just out of his line of sight. The elevator shoots upward, the door eventually opening into a boardroom with a dozen executives, each as young and dynamic-looking as Takeshi himself, all seated around a large table.

Takeshi addresses the group. "I apologize to you all for being two and a half minutes late. But I had a most curious encounter on my way here. I came across these two young men, and took them to be models from that new agency we're using. But then this one," he indicates Bryan, "told me the story of what had happened to him some little time before."

You see the executives' faces look more puzzled than bored. They aren't particularly interested in what Takeshi is saying, but know that he must have some reason. Takeshi goes on.

"Bryan told me that he had gone to the beach and found his friend buried in the sand. His friend then told him a curious story of what had happened to him. He had been captured by a large group of Pyrots, who had then buried him in the sand and taken off his shoes and socks."

You raise one bare foot in the air, wiggle your toes, then lower it. Then you do the same with the other foot. One or two of the executives seems to look interested. Takeshi goes on.

"Bryan told me that he then felt strange. Hearing his friend's story gave him a curious urge. Soon the urge grew too powerful, and he couldn't stop himself from removing his own shoes and socks until he was barefoot as well."

Bryan now lifts his barefeet into the air one at a time and wiggles his toes. More of the executives look interested. Takeshi continues his story.

"As Bryan told me about this irresistible urge he felt, it occurred to me that I had a stone in my shoe. I slipped it off and shook it. Not finding a stone, I slipped off my other shoe. But there was nothing in either of them."

You notice that all of the executives are now spellbound by the story. One or two of them look uncomfortable, as if their own shoes were suddenly feeling too tight. Takeshi carries on.

"Bryan told me that that wasn't all. His friend had said that burying him in the sand and taking off his shoes and socks wasn't enough for the birds. They began tickling his feet with their feathers. As Bryan told me this, I thought I felt that a spider had gotten into my sock. Bryan described how hearing his friend's story about the birds tickling his feet made his own barefeet start to feel tingly. That made me feel certain there was a spider, and I took off both my socks, but there wasn't."

Takeshi then shows his own bare feet. You notice that all the executives look as if their shoes are way too tight. You can't see completely, but a couple of them are clearly slipping their own shoes off below the table.

"The more he heard about the birds tickling his friend's barefeet and about how much more ticklish they became, Bryan told me how the tingling in his own feet grew stronger and stronger. And hearing about what had happened to Bryan, I felt the same tingling in my own feet. I covered them with my hands, but the tingling grew stronger. Bryan went on about how hearing his friend's story of laughing hysterically as the birds covered every inch of his ticklish soles with their feathers made him start to giggle and laugh, and that made the tingling in my own feet turn into a definite tickling."

By now you can almost swear that all the executives have surreptitiously removed their own shoes under the table. You certainly see enough leg agitation that can only be trying to unlace a tied shoe in order to slip it off. And your ears catch enough of a faint rustling sound to indicate that they've all gotten out of their socks as well. Takeshi keeps talking.

"Bryan told me that he was so affected by his friend's story of how the pyrots kept on tickling and tickling and tickling his tootsies that the tickling in his own feet became so intense that he was laughing too hard to be able to remain standing, and hearing how to sank to the ground laughing made me start to laugh myself. When Bryan told me then that hearing all the details about the pyrots running their feathers between his friend's toes made him laugh continuously, the feeling of being foot-tickled overpowered me and made me topple to the ground. And the more Bryan told me about how the story of the birds tickle-torturing his buddy's barefeet enough to make him totally laugh his head off made him completely lose it until he was just rolling around wildly and laughing like a hyena, the more I felt increasingly vulnerable to the incredibly powerful and still growing tickling sensation in my ticklish barefeet until all I could do was laugh and laugh and kick my bare feet about in the air because there I was, totally out of control, the CEO of XYZ Corporation reduced to a helpless ticklish laughing little boy!"

You watch in fascination as the barefoot executives struggle to retain their composure. Hearing Takeshi's story of being overpowered by the sensation of being foot-tickled is clearly causing each of them to undergo the same sensations. They strive for all their worth to keep their expressions serious, but one by one they all start to snicker. Soon each one is shifting about in his chair trying not to laugh openly. The giggles grow stronger and soon the inevitable first laugh pours out. In no time they're all laughing openly and kicking about under the table. The agitations grow more violent in nature, though the heft of the executive chairs assists them for a little while. But soon the foot-tickling feeling becomes so strong that one chair topples over as its occupant giggles hysterically with delight, clutching his big dogs to himself as hard as he can but still being unable to stop their mad twitching. Once one of them has fallen the others follow suit. In no time at all Takeshi's entire board of directors becomes a group of helpless barefoot prisoners trapped by the irresistible sensations of tickle-torture, rolling and thrashing about on the floor, kicking their big twitching ticklish executive tootsies wildly in the air, and laughing their heads off like absolute lunatics.

Takeshi turns to you and explains that it's lucky the room is soundproofed. Bryan turns to you and tells you that your extra arms have disappeared. You and Bryan both look at the laughing board members on the floor and ask Takeshi what will happen to them.
