Did they ever see this in Kansas?

You just have to see what kind of crop they're growing in the field. And you really do think you're hearing laughter or something coming from that direction. Into the field you go.

The crop planted isn't anything you can identify. You're not even sure whether it's growing on stalks, bushes, or smallish trees, they're so covered by thick vines. All you can be sure of is that whatever they are are about ten feet tall. You stand near a plant, debating with yourself whether or not to examine one of the vines manually. Then something small and round falls into your hand. It feels like some sort of berry, but you wonder why it's yellow.

In another moment you notice more of the yellow berries. You bring your hand to your face and examine the berry you hold. It has a faint but pleasant aroma, and looks quite delicious. You touch it gingerly with your tongue when...

"DON'T EAT THAT!" cries a voice.
