Up: Game 2  Up: Game 2 Outline

MARINES have fought not just everywhere on the world, but in a parallel universe

Then, a shot hits the ground about an inch from your head. "Who was that?" you say. Fred paces around trying to pick up a scent. As he does, a seven foot tall werewolf jumps out of a tree. The instant he lands, he asks, "Are you another member of the club?"

"Umm... ummm..." all you can do is stammer. The werewolf is like nothing you've seen before. The werewolf looks like a cross between a wolf and a human. He would be a wolf if his forepaws weren't quite so human. His paws are pretty much normal except that they're more dexterous, like short fingers, and he can easily grasp an object. He has a difficult time standing upright, but is a bit too clumsy to go on all fours. On his back is a sniper rifle. His only clothing is a camouflage cloak. His fur is a dark grey and nearly spotless. He looks at Fred. "Fred, you're back here. Who in the hell is this?" he says.

"Its a guy who was nice enough to hide me from the cops." Fred responds.

"My only question...", you ask, "...is ... who exactly are you?"

"I am, or was, rather, a Corporal in the United States Marines. Sniper in a Recon platoon." the werewolf responds.

"I meant, what's your name."

"Dave Janse"

"How'd you get here?"

"I was on manuvers in Quantico when I got sucked into a portal.", he tells you briskly. "I've been here for a week, but I haven't gone all the way to wolf. Some of them turn into wolves in hours. Others take longer. Longest one took three days. Eventually, they all go back to Earth. I help 'em in any way I can. What's happenin' to 'em on Earth?"

"They get shot, caught in traps, however the cops and National Guard can catch them."

"Well, human, you got at least an hour, probably more. You haven't even got much fur yet. C'mon, I got something to show you." Dave leads you to a clearing. In the clearing there are at least 50 wolves. Some are oviously wolves. Most are half-human, half-wolf. Almost every one of them is whimpering in fear. "Once, an entire family got stuck in here. Impressing, or should I say depressing." says the Corporal. "Well, you got a little while to do whatever you planned. Then, you're more wolf than you can hide." he says.
