One of Roger's tears falls into the fire, causing a plume of steam. That gives you an idea...

"Jennifer, do as I tell you and I'll free you too. Turn Roger so he's facing the fire. Straining, Jennifer turns the spit round.

"Ooh no! OOOHH NO! NO! NO! Mercy!" wails Roger.

"Now, we need to make Roger cry so much, he'll put out the fire."

"And how do we do that, furball?" asks Jennifer
