The deer thinks a change will do you good.

"I SENSE YOU FEAR ME, HUMAN MORTAL." says the deer, speaking in a flat, echoing sinister voice.

He's right, of course. a demonic deer is bad enough, but one that talks?

"DO NOT WORRY, I WILL NOT HARM YOU. HOWEVER THERE IS GREAT EVIL IN THIS PLACE. BUT I WILL HELP YOU."

"How?" you ask, relaxing a little.

"I WILL TRANSFORM YOU INTO A FORM THAT WILL HAVE A BETTER CHANCE OF FIGHTING THE TERRORS THAT AWAIT YOU. YOU WILL REMAIN IN THAT FORM UNTIL YOUR WORK HERE IS DONE"

'Until your work here is done'? Does he know of your assignment, or does he know something you don't? And what does he intend to transform you into?

"I WILL LET YOU DECIDE THE FORM YOU WILL TAKE". Is he reading your mind or something? Anyway, what will you become?
