Up: Game 3  Up: Game 3 Outline

You go home.

You take the first option almost instantly, pressing a button to activate the display. Something resembling a flat-screen TV rises from the surface of the watch, and a tree-like design appears. There seems to be a single stream, going up in a straight line, and there are lots of different paths branching off at random intervals. You realise that the line represents the Alpha Reality - the one you are in currently, and the others represent the many alternatives. You check a working clock, and realise you only have about 30 seconds until the leprechaun traps you again. You scan the display, pressing areas randomly until something happens. The room dissolves around you, and you free-fall through nothingness. Did you do it in time? You check your wrist, and the watch is still there, it's hands ticking away softly. Then it suddenly glows, and you have to close your eyes in order to avoid being blinded.

When you open them again, you find yourself at home. You pick yourself up off the ground, looking around cautiously. Outside the window, you can see your neighbourhood, bathed in warm sunlight. You look yourself over, but find nothing abnormal or strange. It looks like you escaped. You check the watch again, and find that it's gone back to normal, and that the hands are frozen again. You wonder what could be different about this reality, and press a button on the watch to give you information. It beeps, and the hologram appears again, only this time it's covered with text.

'Year: 2012.

Location: Suburban London.

Species: Human.

Gender: Male...'

You skim through the information. Doesn't seem like anything's changed, apart from the fact that the leprechauns not around anymore. You guess you could try looking around a bit more.
