Game 3 | Game 3 Outline |
You shrink away from the window, away from the screams of agony and that horrible green dust. He'll be coming for you next, you just know it. You have to get away. You can't run down the road - it's too obvious, and he'll catch you easily. Into the forest? No, that's too dangerous, with all the wild creatures and other threats. You could try hiding somewhere in the castle, but he'll find you eventually. You opt for the forest, and head back downstairs to the front door. But when you reach the main foyer, the doors begin creaking, and green dust begins spilling through the cracks. You curse and start moving backwards, but then you trip over something. You look, and realise that it's the leprechaun's box. You put it in your pocket without thinking, then turn and sprint back up the stairs.
You burst through the first door you come across, and find yourself in one of the bedrooms. You run for the closet in the corner, open the door and jump inside, enveloping yourself in fur coats. You pull the door shut and then creep backwards slowly, pushing through the many coats. You can't help but think of Lucy Pevensie in the magical wardrobe - this closet is really deep into the wall. But then your fingers brush against wood, and you reach the back of the closet. Then you hear a sound that sends shivers down your spine - a slithering, sliding sound coming from the hallway. Then a voice breaks through the silence - a voice you know all too well. The Leprechaun's voice.
"I know you're here, kid!" all traces of his accent are gone, and his voice resonates with evil. "You can't hide from me! I'll find you, no matter where you are, no matter how long it takes! I WILL FIND YOU, AND YOU WILL REGRET THE MOMENT YOU TOUCHED THAT BOX!!!" You shrink away from that horrible voice, and press your back harder agaisnt the back of the closet. To your surprise, it swings open like a door, and you fall backwards into a hidden room. You lie on the floor for a few seconds, and try to catch your breath. When you do, you get up and close the secret door, securing it with a wooden plank. It won't hold him for long if he finds the door, but it helps add a sense of security.
Satisfied that the door is secure, you turn around to get a bearing of your surroundings. The room is pretty big - something that wouldn't normally fit inside a castle without taking up space. You shrug it off as magic. There seems to be quite a lot hanging around this castle, so you guess there a some enchantments and other things. You start walking away from the door, down what appears to be a long hallway. On your left and right sides, there are a whole lot of doors. You try to open one, but it's locked. You try another, but it's locked too. After trying another six doors and getting nowhere, you conclude that all of the doors are locked tight. You keep walking.
And walking.
And walking.
