...Anthologies of short stories...regarding an ancient race of shapeshifters who have
lived alongside normal people for centuries. I'd give it a 3/4 on the worth-reading scale
and a +/0 on the transformation-relevancy scale. The ratings are a bit hazy as because
they're written by several authors the standard is a bit variable. All in all though, I
found them quite good, especially the way that some of the stories tied in with ancient
mythology. -93

MT/MU/ST/GC/BM/MX Significance: 0. This book is an outrageous F/SF pastiche where the
bad guys lick the good guys with a vengeance. Sort of Terry Pratchett with a really mean
sense of humor. There are many transformations, most of which are incidental, but a few
are crucial to the plot. A must for those who like their villainous heroes really bad to
the bone. -96

One night a masterdreamer (who can compose dreams about entire worlds, as opposed to one
or two individuals, and thus can offer many points of view for the audience to share)
under personal stress turns his dream into a massive nightmare. Very minor transformations
as the hero and heroine enter the dream to save the trapped audience; also, the characters
are absolutely predictable and if you can't see the resolution of every crisis the moment
it's mentioned, you aren't paying attention while you're reading. -104 (98/02/07)

For those of you who've never heard of the game, TORG is a science-fantasy RPG in which a
number of alternate realities invade Earth, transforming the residents of large parts of
the planet into creatures from these other realities. The Storm Knights, people with the
natural ability to resist and manipulate the "possibility energy" that produces
this effect, try to defend Earth against this onslaught. Oh, yes, and TORG is a registered
trademark of West End Games, which hopefully won't sue me for the mention here. -Ph

it possible for a person to record one's personality and survive one's body's death in a
