Description: + Saturation: +. One of my favorite books... It's about a British youth
who is sent to the country for reasons of health, and while there he discovers an ancient
Celtic helmet which allows his consciousness to enter into the body of a black stag. As
the story progresses, the stag gradually takes control, and the boy's spirit becomes
trapped in the deer's body until... Well, you'll just have to read the book to find out!

- ...A fantasy novel with an interesting twist. It is one of the truly 'original' books I
have read recently. There is a fair amount of shapechanging both voluntary, and
involuntary in it. -19

0 Description: + Saturation: 0. The protagonist is a sort of cursed version of a
werebear, but the longer he stays in bear form the more bearlike he acts and thinks, and
the longer he stays human the harder it is to control the bear when he eventually changes
into it. -Ph

novels don't have the traditional vampire shapechanging powers, but the transformation
from living human to vampire is an important element in these stories so they still
qualify as transformation stories. -64

- Sort-of-in-a-way-kind-of. A man under the influence of an evil spirit orders a very
convincing werewolf costume. According to the spirit, no physical transformation is
involved; the 'vessel' manages quite well without it... -Ph
- Well, it's sort-of about a werewolf... predictable but decently written; I still like
this one. If you ignore the preface and epilogue, its about a boy and his costume ... deja
vu, eh? -87
